Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the https://algo2vis.com website and related services (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"), operated by Algo2Vis (hereinafter "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and purchasers.

Description of Service

Algo2Vis is a web-based data structure and algorithm visualization service that dynamically converts code provided by users into visual animations and step-by-step explanations. The service is intended to aid learning and understanding, and does not guarantee that its output is suitable for production environments.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice provided. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or termination of the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You must not:

Upload code containing illegal, infringing, threatening, or harassing content.

Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape data from, or otherwise interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Service.

Use the Service for any commercial automated processing or distribution purposes without explicit authorization.

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.

Circumvent usage limits or payment requirements by registering multiple accounts or sharing account credentials with others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access or account if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these terms.

User Content and Ownership

Your Rights: You retain ownership of the original code you upload to the Service.

Your License Grant: By uploading code, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to run, process your code, and generate corresponding visual output to provide the Service to you. This license is necessary to provide the Service.

Our Rights: Intellectual property rights to all visualization animations, graphics, explanatory text, and related output content generated by the Service (hereinafter "Output Content") belong to Algo2Vis. Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view this Output Content for personal learning or internal use purposes.

Commitment: We will not use your uploaded proprietary code to train artificial intelligence models for ourselves or third parties. The processing of your code will strictly follow our Privacy Policy.

Subscription, Payment, and Access

Payment: All payments are securely processed by our payment partner, Creem. Payment constitutes your authorization for a one-time charge for the selected plan.

Renewal: Upon the conclusion of your current plan, you will need to make a new purchase to access new content.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to adjust prices for new plans in the future, but this will not affect your access rights to already purchased plans.

Refund Policy

Your purchase is subject to our separate Refund Policy. In summary, we offer a conditional 7-day refund guarantee for new users. If you are dissatisfied with the service within 7 days of your first purchase and your usage has not exceeded a reasonable trial scope, please contact us to request a refund. Specific terms are governed by the latest version of the Refund Policy.

Intellectual Property

The Algo2Vis name, logo, website design, underlying software of the Service, and all Output Content generated by the Service are the intellectual property of Algo2Vis or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works based on them without our prior written consent.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the visualization results are academically or technically flawless. Code execution results may vary due to inputs, interpreter differences, or limitations of the Service itself.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Algo2Vis shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the purchase giving rise to the claim.

Termination

We may terminate your access to the Service immediately without notice if you violate these Terms. You may terminate the relationship at any time by ceasing to use the Service or contacting support to delete your account. Upon termination of the account, your access to paid content will cease, and no refund will be issued, except as otherwise provided by law or stipulated in the Refund Policy.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify users via website announcements or other means. Your continued use of the Service after the changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
